Salted Grounds Painting

'Salted Grounds' is being exhibited in The Kimpton Hotel (Edinburgh) from June-July, 2022. This original painting will then be available to purchase after the exhibition. ‘Salted Grounds’ is a painting inspired by seasonal and environmental changes from cool winter tones to spring pastels and the contrasting use of acrylic partitions and earthy textures. This original abstract artwork presents a sense of movement and texture through the structural use of paint and calico cloth. Whilst building up foundations of fabric and paint, I sanded back each layer in sweeping motions to capture the sense of temporal forms.
