Ho scelto di dipingere questo scorcio di Piazza di Spagna a Roma, perchè è in assoluto uno dei luoghi che più amo di Roma, soprattutto per la fontana della Barcaccia, prima opera di Gian Lorenzo Bernini che fece insieme al padre. Inoltre, mi colpisce sempre molto la magnifica luce che c'è in questo luogo incantato, soprattutto d'estate. E' una città che ti rimane dentro e che va vista almeno una volta nella vita, per questo, volevo creare un quadro, con cui puoi portare con te un pezzettino di quella città e di quella atmosfera unica.
