About The Artwork
A follow on painting from my popular work ‘Into the Garden’. As coined by a friend it’s an ‘impressionist expressionist’ painting based on the colours found in nature, inspired by photographs of nature I have taken over the years. Instead of using layers of oil paint like I used in ‘Into the Garden’, I have used wall filler as a base to build texture and I have layered colours on top based on my references.
