About The Artwork
Oil on Wood Canvas. This piece is inspired by a painting session on Lake Huron on a very bright day. There is multiple layers on this piece and some imbedded golf leaf. The oil has gloss in some raised areas. I love how the light captures the texture in this piece. This piece took 2 months to finish overall but worth the time and effort. It hangs in my studio now on the west wall to capture the light all day while I paint. It inspires me.

I am a Cree Artist living in Toronto, Ontario. Former Art Gallery owner in Toronto I paint full-time now in my home studio in Eastern Toronto. My influences are Turner and Caspar. I predominantly paint in the styles of Romanticism, Abstract and Abstract Expressionism. I prefer oils but do occasionally produce works in Acrylic. I am currently going thru an phase of multi-media focus with elements such as gold and copper leaf finding their way into some of my large pieces.
