About The Artwork
made in response to a black and white photograph I found in a 60s wildlife book. The colours were made up and for me express the anger I feel over the over hunting and loss of habitat that "progress" has caused. The found wooden support came from the harbour side here in Penzance, Cornwall. The frame only came to light recently in a charity shop, and along with the red box frame back allows the painting some room as it floats. There is no glass, and the frame comes signed and with hanging string. The style is loose and as I have said the colour choice arbitrary.

Tim won the Ovalhouse prize at Chelsea College of Art, and Gloucester University prize at the Open West in 2015. He is a member of the committee of the Newlyn Society of Artists. Has exhibited in Berlin and Baku Zdonov in the Czech Republic and is represented by Daisy Laing, Penzance, Avalon in Marazion and Jupiter Newlyn.
