About The Artwork

Experimental work. I wanted to work with one dominant colour and tonal variations to create a platform for a figure expressing the need to fight back. So here we see the figure pushing back at unseen forces. The figure creates a scene of natural tension like a silhouette in a doorway. I am really happy with the outcome of this work.

Marc Rayner Born 1959 in Wollongong, N.S.W, Australia. Currently lives and works in central Sweden. The integration of quasi architectural and natural landscapes forms the spine of my social, historical and political commentary. Neoexpressionism is my sphere of operation. It suits my temperament. The Neoexpressionist genre also accurately reflects the distorted paradigm in which we live.
