Lavender field in Provence France. Provence is a beautiful area of south France known for the Lavender farms and many other nature and man made places of beauty. The lavender farms impressed me because of the unique hues that contrast with the daylight and blue skies. There is a certain radiance in the flowers that can be matched only by modulating the sky for balance. I have used hints of fluorescent aquamarine in the sky to just do that. The painting is impressionist style and an eyecatcher in any location. It certainly makes one look deep in it. Great piece for office or home spaces where a conversation about art is appropriate. Medium size (16x20 inch) and framed. Ships in a flat box.

American impressionist painter uses color field to create enhanced realism. Began work as portrait painter, mainly commissioned portraits in oil. With inspiration from art of Hans Hoffman and Mark Rothko, I developed interest in experimenting with color-field. Exploring the interplay between emotions and colors is the salient feature of my work. I use color field signatures to depict nature in impressionistic realism. I 'try' to minimize animated or man made objects such as animals, birds etc., in my work.
