Pour l’éternité, 2024 50x40cm Huile sur toile D’après le tableau d’Antoine Van Dyck - les Fiancailles mystiques du bienheureux Hermann Joseph avec la Vierge Marie. (1629-1630) S’avoir s’arrêter à temps. Je peins depuis 25 ans et je crois que je n’ai jamais su arrêter à temps. Je suis allée à chaque fois un peu trop loin dans la figuration, un peu trop expliqué ce que je peignais. Ou peut-être que je n’avais pas la dextérité suffisante pour dire ce que je voulais avec moins. Il manquait des mots à mon poème. Aujourd’hui je crois que j’y suis enfin parvenue. Comme si j’avais accepté de ne pas être intelligible pour mieux dire la peintre que je suis. Ça fait un peu peur mais c’est jubilatoire.

I was born in 1983 in Lille, France and I now live in Marseille, Southern France. I am a figurative painter. American painter Maggie Siner gave me my first painting lessons when I was a teenager. Since then, I always painted - even when I was a student or a busy contemporary art gallery manager. In 2014 I decided to dedicate myself to painting. I am now a happy, self-taught and full-time painter.
