For me, representing shapes, spaces, and feelings doesn’t mean recreating reality in its current form. It’s about imagining an alternative reality, one that doesn’t exclude the nature of phenomena, but rather the established shapes found in nature. This work is about sexual tension and suggested anthropomorphism, mixed with elements of landscapes, echos of spaces that only exist in our memory. I chose a black and white coloring to suggest a sort of “mineral” purity, in opposition to the organic qualities of sexuality, passion and romantic love.
