About The Artwork
On the Edge of Morning is a reaction to the deep quiet and beauty of early dawn. It evokes a feeling of sitting by a marsh listening to the sounds of birds and insects as the sun slowly rises to warm the day. Using cold wax medium allows the build up of many layers of alternating colors each one of which enriches the one that succeeds it. Taping off certain areas results in multiple horizon lines. The edges of the painting have been painting to extend the central image. No framing is required. The painting is ready for installation.
