Hold it back. Unreluctant. Not to be confused with that day. Tile slick and white. I cupped my thigh and cried for no reason. Beige. Blue. Nothing can last in this heat. ----------- Acrylic on stonehenge paper. This work is painted over a relief woodblock print. Rather than the immediate experience with the landscape, these paintings take shape from the moments after. My process is a search through the indefinite spaces that are born from removal and distance from nature. By manipulating canvas and paint, I explore the seeping of memories past their boundaries, growing beyond and rewriting themselves.
