About The Artwork
The second of two paintings based on a recent trip to Palm Springs, and swimming under the stars in the outdoor pool of our moderne villa. The subaquatic lighting lent the water a wild opaque quality. This picture is of my sister Jane swimming idly, although it has been suggested that this might make a good cover for an LA noir-type detective novel. I love Raymond Chandler, and so I take that as a compliment.
