About The Artwork
Mount Krivan is a 150cm x 100cm abstract painting commissioned by a family member. It is made using acrylic paints and cracking clay. The mountain range is a familiar sight in Slovakia, and the countries national symbol, the cross, is visible in the sky. I used my usual combinations of acrylic paint over clay to create this composition. The mountain is built into 3 layers to show depth. They differ based on the thickness of clay applied.
