About The Artwork
This is a painting I did as an application for an art prize- it was supposed to deal with a northern German landscape. So I looked at lots and lots of pictures and found some inspiring images about a place called "the devil´s moore". The piece of wood I chose for this work did me the huge pleasure to be of a tender color and structure so that the reflection of the water is at some points really plastic, and the morning sky unfolds it´s freshness just well. The final coloring of the shore then turned the whole scene into something something more mysterious and out- of- this world wich to my mind makes it more intense to look at. The painting has metal hooks for hanging.
