this was done in Malibu Creek State Park which is a very wild place with strange mountains and hills and feels very far from any urban place. Could be Africa. There are deers who come and see what I am painting at sunset ! I hope viewers will feel the mystery and the lushness of that place. I love oil for these landscapes as it has a buttery feeling, something of the lushness of the site...
