This was done in Malibu Creek State Park which is a very protected place, with deers and beautiful mountains and hills, large empty meadows, quite extraordinary. I try to render its mystery and I am a bit obsessed by these cliffs and rocks meeting the softness of the prairie... I use oil because it gives a lush feeling to the piece, I think...
