eupnea- Easy, free respiration, as is observed normally under resting conditions. This abstraction is part of the series 'The Air we Breathe' Air is an essential to life and with that comes a rhythm like music and waves like the ocean. The air we breath can bee seen as a musical composition as well as the never ending ocean, because of our air supply and our role of the mutual give and take in our environment. We humans, as the trees, play a role in our air, one give the other takes. A balance in harmony. Our role in the world is a delicate balance between giving and taking much like how we breath. A rhythm, a balance and when this balance is disrupted we create unbalance or chaotic breathing. My works represent the harmony, balance and chaos of our breathing. Each work can be seen as a musical composition, an abstract idea, of making our breath alive within a painting, be it harmonious or cacophony. With each breath we are singing or screaming, we each breath we mutter our first words or we speak our dreams. With each breath we are living and we are dying Every moment, every breath has meaning. I hope to express this through a visual sense. The work is signed on the back
