MECHANICAL STRUCTURE OF MODERN AGE Human's contact with life is based on the contact of human with time. In antiquity, Aristoteles, with this approach, reduced the perception of time to “NOW and HERE” and added “SPACE” into the perception of time. As the structure of SPACE is measured by magnitude, SPACE expresses itself as “PART” and “WHOLE” and PART and WHOLE relationship enters into human’s perception. As a result of proportioning, in other words comparing part with the whole the concept of “RATIO” emerged. The process of comparing the ratio of the part to the whole that constitutes the concept of ratio takes us to the larger and upper framework concept which we call “GEOMETRY”. From the moment the space enters into the perception of time of Aristoteles, the ratio also takes its place in the perception of time. Thus, “TIME PERCEPTION” is now something that is measured in comparison to something else. This is called “RATIONAL TIME PERCEPTION”. This time perception reached; it is a time perception that is revealed by comparing things in life with each other instead of contacting with the real time of life. When Descardes' rational perception of time is evaluated with “CAUSE-EFFECT” addition, “RATIONAL TIME” concept revealed as a result of “SEQUENCY” from cause-and-effect relationship. Later, when the industrial age emerged, which was the foundation of “PRODUCTION”, human perception of time changed again. The perception of time as a result of the introduction of a new sense of time that we can call the logic of production processes unit into the old rational time perception with the modern age; rational time and production processes are trapped into time. Production processes time is a PROGRESSION. This new phase is not closely related to the real-time perception of life. The modern human life is reduced to a kind of production process and rationality as the modern age human is condemned to live in these two senses of time. This is a new MECHANISM which is not yet felt. For this reason, since the perception of time in the modern age is a rational and mechanical time perception, life is confined into a mechanism. Mechanisms cannot produce meaning because they focus only on material production. The fact that modern age man cannot produce “VALUE” and “MEANING” is the result of reduction of modern man's life to a mechanism. I compare this mechanism to CLOSED BOX. People are confined to a mechanism in closed boxes that are isolated from each other. Those in these closed boxes do not have contact with each other, they can only stand side by side in the boxes, and no human being can actually interact with one another because this desire is hindered by this mechanism.

Born in 1975 in Copenhagen, Denmark, Madam P started painting in 1989 and began her professional career in 2001. Her work is rooted in Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art and Constructivism, but performed within a personal frame. Through identifying with these movements, she is able to create a “vast perspective” within her paintings. Her inspiration for each work comes from an opinion, word or idea, although there is no place for coincidence in the main idea. Throughout her career, she has focused on discovering how art can be used as a language; and how to surpass traditional boundaries through the use of colors. Madam P only focuses on effect, while everything else (such as visuality, rules and expectations) are secondary.
