Maria Divina (Mary Divine) Painting

"Maria Divina", or "Mary Divine" in english, is my latest painting from the "Identity" series. This is the first work in this series with a proper name so to speak. The choice of "Maria" and "Divina" was suggested by my followers in my Instagram. In naming it, I think it becomes somewhat closer to us. It is also the first in this series to portray a black woman. I loved working on this tone, as it creates a new challenge: since none of the characters in the series have eyes, it was necessary to devise a way of not leaving this region too dark. For that, I gave a very light illumination in the region around the eyes would go, which made the figure even more attractive, in my humble opinion of course.
