"If we don't play God, who will?" once said Nobel laureate and DNA co-discoverer James Watson. Indeed, when scientists created Dolly, the first cloned mammal, Man reached a new peak in his ability to mimic God. And so this work is inspired by this momentous event. Many of my paintings mix classic work with modern images to create new intrigues. What better classical image than this of Michelangelo showing God giving birth to Adam, to illustrate our new power to manipulate life?
