About The Artwork

The inspiration behind this work stems from a combination of urban street art culture, the message of self-love inspired by BTS, and the universal theme of embracing imperfections. The colorful and dynamic nature of graffiti serves as a fitting backdrop to convey the vibrancy and complexity of the human experience, while the woman with the tattoo represents a personal journey towards self-acceptance and growth. Through this piece, I hope viewers will feel empowered to embrace their own imperfections and celebrate their unique journey towards self-love. I want them to recognize that self-acceptance is a powerful form of rebellion against societal standards of perfection and conformity. The choice of medium—graffiti—reflects the raw and expressive nature of urban art, which resonates with the themes of individuality and authenticity. The subject matter—a woman with a self-love tattoo—was chosen to symbolize the universal struggle for self-acceptance, while the style aims to capture the energy and vitality of street art culture.
