"Lost in thought" Painting

Part and parcel of a series of this model; I found it interesting how different angles could portray different personality traits. The same model that confronted the viewer two paintings ago is now lost in her own dreams. My intention was to paint as expressive yet figurative. To create as much information with as little paint as possible. Paint in some places as thick as thieves and in other places completely absent. A deconstruction of sorts; stripping the painting to its bare necessities. This is an original, once off painting on a stretched cotton canvas. The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame. High quality natural pigment oil paints are used and the artwork is varnished to preserve color and protect from UV-light, dust and moisture. Edges are painted black and artwork is ready to hang. Framing is not included nor required. Artwork is signed on the front and signed certificate of authenticity is provided. Dimensions: 101 x 101 cm (39.76" x 39.76") For shipment: Artwork is wrapped into several protective layers and placed into wooden crate for extra protection, will be delivered to your doorstep by courier service.
