Title | Lord Of New Beginnings Type | Original Painting (Unframed) Medium & Materials | Acrylic Paint on Stretched Canvas Description | After completing something called a "Ganesha 40 Day Sadhana" (meditation/spiritual practice), this came to be when paint and canvas met. The Hindu God, Ganesha, is known as the Lord Of New Beginnings (and both the placer and remover of obstacles) hence the title. It's interesting how this feathered, wing-like creation emerged; for me, it is representative of taking flight in new directions, towards new ventures, towards new beginnings. Notice the balance of colours (pinks and blues) in the painting, which expresses the divine feminine and masculine we have in each of us. There is also some gold and silver paint mixed in to elevate its status in line with the Celestial Deity theme.
