Light years away III Painting

In parallel, my searches are focused on sculpture, painting, drawing, ceramics, collage. The different materials and means of expression that I use allow my ideas to pass from one pictorial and spiritual space to another. Many of my monumental stone sculptures began life with a conceptual sketch or drawing, and often drawing is an integral part of the process of integrating the objects into the space. Also for many of my drawings and paintings I use the character of the volumes, shapes and language of my sculpture. The universe is in a state of constant expansion, movement and change. Galaxies are moving away from each other, and stars and planets are forming and dying. This magnificent cosmic cycle spans billions of years and includes the birth and death of stars and the creation of new solar systems. I use my art to explore the relationship between the physical and spiritual realms, depicting the flow of spiritual energy and the sense of interconnectedness between all things. I use colors, shapes and emotions to convey the spiritual dimension of the world and express my own inner experience of it. In the work "Light years away", I strive to represent the ever changing and renewing nature as a result of the ebb and flow of spiritual energy that flows through Planet Earth.
