Since I was trying to capture the best scenery in my head, the will to express abundance was strong from the beginning. As the paints were painted over and over, I was concentrating on the expression of going into some endless abyss, like the deep sea. Beyond the landscape, I went through the process of revisiting the faded past. As the paints gradually mixed on the canvas , Unexpected colors stimulated me to express a more profound world. As a result, the painting itself gave off an intense light even without lighting. This painting is between Post-Impressionism and Abstract Expressionism. In particular, I had an experience that I was moved by the expressive power of Monet's last year's training more than what he actually painted. From the point of view of Monet's later works of reflected images reflected in the pond, I think that this painting should be viewed in the same vein as Monet's attitude toward finding something in the movement of a wave that does not return once it has passed, not a pond. The title of the work was taken from the song title of the American rock band Pearl Jam. I thought that it perfectly suited the meaning of the work. Although we live on Earth, the lights we see come from real and realistic entities. I want to emphasize the existence of each of us there through my paintings.

" Colors produce the most beautiful when I most honestly reveal emotions. " I am a painter based in Seoul. The structural observation of Mother Nature through curves and primal forces is a visual element connected to musical composition techniques. I was strongly attracted to musical composition techniques, especially serialism, and at the point when I tried to use the musical forms of Messiaen and Schinberg in paintings, the perspective of representation in my paintings from looking at real objects had already changed significantly. My view of art is completely connected to Greek and Roman art and oriental calligraphy, blank space aesthetic conditions. Henri Matisse(1869-1954) still plays a guiding role in my paintings. decoration is pursued within two-dimensional synthesis. This is because I am a person who pursues purity in life. That is when I am happiest. The ultimate reason for drawing is to think deeply about how and to what extent I should act within the triangle of human will and freedom.
