This work was painted outdoors trying to capture the light and the experience of representing some lemon trees in a garden in the field north side of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Abstraction, spots of color, transparencies and synthesis of forms, are the qualities that are used when representing these lemon trees.

Kerch is a plenairist painter. He organizes his canvases as reverberations that activate our imagination, giving light to the landscapes they seem to form. Luis Kerch (1962) was born in Mexico and currently lives in Tenerife. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Miami, Florida. He studied at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York, obtaining, in 1990, a Master of Science in Communication Design. Kerch is a plenairist painter. He organizes his canvases as reverberations that activate our imagination, giving light to the landscapes they seem to form. His images are shifting, oscillations of light and colour originated by translucent stains. His motifs seem not to dissolve completely, to remain in a state of perpetual dissolution. As in Turner, in his work the intensity merges with the instant. Luis Kerch has exhibited in the USA, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain, UK and Portugal.
