About The Artwork
These are a late crop of fall sunflowers with my father's barns in background. I love the scene which represents where I grew up, the fall colors with the sunflowers are a beautiful scene. I hope the path will lead the viewer to the flowers and to escape a moment to a beautiful and peaceful place. I used water soluble oil in an impressionistic style. The sides are also painted so no need of a frame.

I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, USA and after living many other places am once again living in Raleigh, NC. I love painting landscapes using either a brush or palette knife with oil. I love the texture a palette knife brings but what ever tool I use I paint more impressionistic. I only use my own photographs for my work to inspire me or to get me going.
