Lady Godiva Painting

Lady Godiva rides a grey horse across her story I ve always loved the word and image, the illuminated manuscript, the illustrated pre digital storybooks with the illustration that is captioned with part of a sentence. I love research, writing and stories and facts. My painting and my writing have always been entwined. I'm currently exploring this way of letting them happen together rather than keeping them apart. I am a published author, so I don't feel right about using pages from other writers books, so I write my own. research a subject to put together my own 'pages, and produce them on a heavy-weight poly-parchment paper which is moisture resistant and ph neutral, which allows me to paint in oils, over the top. oil painted over purpose- printed text, on heavy-weight, ph neutral, moisture resistant poly-parchment. This is NOT a book page, a large font has been used. Parchment is larger than the 'artwork dimensions' for ease of framing.
