“La composizione” Painting

Francesca Barretta is an italian artist born in Rome in 1989. She was born into a family of artists, starting with her grandfather Otello Barretta,a Roman painter, and it was natural for her to pursue artistic paths. She’s specialised in figurative and decorative art. Her artistic path starts from a figurative basis,with a preference for female bodies and faces adorned with decorative elements,characterising their aesthetic aspects,until she arrives to art more informal art dictated by a desire ti detach herself from academic bases and to approach a greater spontaneity of gestures as signs or drawing of the soul. She’s an artist in continuous experimentation, moving from colours to their total absence because believes that art follows the artist’s emotions.
