About The Artwork

The painting was created in the Peace Art Hotel in Shanghai on Nanjing Lu just around the Bund, where the artist was residing for about 6 month. It was exhibitted and showcased at several Gallerys and institution in China such as: Hongqiao Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai, China Zhuqizhan Art Museum, Duolun Museum of Modern Art, Shanghai, China Moproo (M60) Moganshan Lu 60, Shanghai The Ming Shen Museum of Art, Pignan, Fujian, China Art 24, Guangzhou, China It refers to the traditional concept of the dragon wich is painted on a first layer beyond, and it was told, that the yellow dragon was reserved for the King only. King Wen is known as a central figure in the history of the I Ching and the Dao, the Principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc., which were transmitted as secret knowledge. Therefore, the yellow dragon is not visible on the painting, but only in the surface reference.
