About The Artwork
The definition of iridescent; “varying in color when seen in different lights, having a play of lustrous rainbow-like colors.” The beauty of this piece is the many different ways it can hung and looked at, due to the iridescent paint and variety of colors. (See additional photos). Thin veils of brightly colored transparent paint cover nine wood squares. The paint is thick and textured. You can see the wood grain through the color. The squares have a border of iridescent metallic paint, then attached together as one piece. the sides are painted gold. The work can be framed or a hung as is.
