My inspiration is all abouth concrete subject matters such as a line, shape, color, surface and rhythm. In my paintings I not only try to absorb the spectator inside a endles depth but I also try them to see the formal and concrete qualities which cause a strong optical effect. The lyric is just semblance. The relations in my work suggest a unity in which broad horizontal and vertical tracks superimpose and become independent, because there is no question of pluralism. On the contrary, this family of colors a prove a personal independence that despite their connectedness, affirm their autonomy.

I am fascinated abouth geometry, the grid small and big sized, a concrete subject. My paintings are carefully created from different transparant layers with strongly thinned acrylic paint in a regular structure of vertical and horizontal lines. The process of pre-brushing with water by which the strongly thinned acrylic paint sucks in the unprepared canvas. The materiality increase and change into a diffuse and velvety surface. The fascination of working with water lies in the fact that I can not control the process; I never know how the line will reveal itself. The only thing I know is that with a lot of water the line will be fickle and with a bit of water the line will be fixed. Using tape is an opposite action in regard to the natural flow of the water. Along the taped line emerge an irregular milled edge. Between on the one side the constructive thinking, the control, and on the other side the natural process, the change, creates a tension. These two extremeties are in dialogue, they unite as well as they repelled. The work seems to be lyric but that is only semblance. In my paintings I try not only to invite the viewer inside an endless depth but I also try to let them experience the formal and concrete qualities, which causes an optical effect. Inside/outside are the numbered titles of my work which are referring to the highest light and the deepest dark.
