I LOVE LITTLE ITALY Painting

My fond memory of going to Little Italy was when my father took to the feast of San Gennaro after working at his office and I loved watching the Italian man frying up zeppoles and would put 6 in a brown paper bag and i chewed on them as my father and I passed through to get to his parked car. I loved walking through the maze of red, white and green lights that led from Canal Street up north to Houston Street with throngs of people everywhere enjoying the piles of vendors lined up one after another cooking and selling off italian food; sausage and meatball sandwiches, fried calamari, stuffed clams, which they wolfed down and I loved when my father stopped at famous Ferrara's so I could get a gelato cone of my choice. I always picked pistachio because it was so good. My painting is a fond memory of the evening walk down Mulberry Street thru the Feast of San Gennaro.
