House on Fire Painting

This summer as Climate Change is creating unusual circumstances all around the world, fires in Oregon were unusual in their numbers, ferocity, and their locations. Fire is somewhat normal in Oregon forests on the east side of the state where there is less danger of houses burning. This year many areas were on fire simultaneously in forests that are on the west side of the mountains where large numbers of people and animals had to be evacuated. At least 11 people lost their lives, and thousands of homes were lost, as well as over 1,00,000 acres. The fear and sense of loss touched all in Oregon.
