About The Artwork
Indigenous Australian art, with it's multiple viewpoint framing and its merging of abstract shapes, myth, activity, map-like elements, memories and actual trackways, has had a strong impact on my intention to view landscape through a 21st century lens. This pre-technology approach has a natural and legitimate fit in the age of extra-terrestrial digital views of our universe and of our planet, (inner space vs outer space) and has influenced me in my minimal use of imagery to suggest space.
