"Holiday is Over" is an evocative oil painting that explores the nuanced emotions associated with the end of festivities and the return to reality. Inspired by the fleeting nature of joyous moments, this contemporary piece delves into the introspective journey of transitioning from celebration to everyday life. The inspiration behind this work lies in the universal experience of coming down from the high of a holiday and facing the realities of routine. The painting encapsulates the bittersweet emotions that accompany this shift, capturing a moment of reflection and contemplation. As viewers engage with "Holiday is Over," I hope to evoke a range of emotions and thoughts. The intent is to prompt reflection on the transient nature of joy and the inevitable return to the ordinary. The painting aims to resonate with individuals on a personal level, stirring feelings of nostalgia, contemplation, and perhaps a touch of melancholy. The choice of oil as the medium adds depth and richness to the artwork, allowing for nuanced color blending and textural details that enhance the overall sensory experience. The subject matter, steeped in symbolism and emotion, seeks to create a connection between the viewer and the universal theme of the post-celebration aftermath. Stylistically, the piece navigates the realms of contemporary art, employing a blend of realism and abstraction to convey a layered narrative. The expressive brushstrokes and subtle symbolism contribute to the overall atmosphere, inviting viewers to explore their own interpretations of the emotional landscape depicted. In essence, "Holiday is Over" is a visual exploration of the complex emotions that accompany the end of festivities, inviting viewers to connect with the shared human experience of navigating the transition from joyous occasions to ordinary moments of life.

I am an artist, a monumental painter from Ukraine, temporarily living in Krakow, Poland. Born in Ukraine, in 1963. After graduating (Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts Department of Monumental Painting) works on the wall painting in the Orthodox churches of the Kharkiv diocese, Borispol, Cherkasy, Ukraine. "Mykola Dzvonyk has a peculiar manner of the artist, which is based on the traditions of "old painting", which appeals to the best examples of a painting of past eras, in particular the Northern Renaissance. Within Cherkasy, the artist creates works that are timeless and global in content." (Magazine, Prostir. Museum, Ukraine)
