A moment from a an alpha pair of Painted Dogs, an endangered species, continually aware, just loved the play on light with big brushstrokes and emphasis on movement - the piece does have more thick and thin textures than these photos show. Painted Dogs or the Painted Wolf/African Wild dog are a favourite subject of mine and their co-operation within the pack between members is quite astonishing, looking after the old, injured and young.
