'Green' is from most recent series of work titled ‘Woven’ where you will find vibrant washes and confident mark-making inspired by a fashion photograph I saw in the New York Times by contemporary textile designer Kine Ulvestad. These works were made without any studies, an instinctive response to the image. Driven by my emotions, my work is reactive, intuitive and organic. Look closely and you'll see crochet, stitching, tufting and all the shapes found in this exciting designers work.
