Go Your Own Way Painting

Although it appears to be black, this is actually painted with Prussian Blue...I used earth tones and created what appears to be my own version of continents created from small dots of paint. Each dot represents an individual...small and isolated...but part of a much larger portrait and connected to every other dot...made from the same matter but different colors and sizes. I mixed my own gouache and acrylic for this which enabled me to create dots that have a perfect swirl pattern. This was the last large scale painting I did in 2020 and it punctuates a body of work that I am very proud of! I adore this painting with all of its texture and drama. It has so much life and I continue to see something new in it each day. Sides are painted solid Prussian blue and it will look great either framed or as is.
