This painting was inspired by people being oppressed and controlled by a tyrannical government. It translates to "freedom is not free" and it is worth fighting for. Includes these words: “Freedom will be awarded to the Brave - the Brave will always lead - sheep are to follow, sheep can not lead - you must hope that the Brave are Good, but that is never certain - the Good must also be the Brave or the world will surely suffer.” Says it all. The painting is ready to hang (floats off the wall 1.25" at edges to 2" in center) - no frame needed.

United States
Tony A. Blue - American Artist, known by some as the Warren Zevon of contemporary painters. "My acrylics/mixed media work is on wood or canvas and my style leans to the expressionistic side - even my landscapes. Often I like additional texture in my work and sometimes I also add other elements, i.e. copper, barbed wire, newsprint, etc. - it helps me get to the heart of the matter. Painting gives me a means to express myself and what is on my mind, even if it's a little bizarre and/or whimsical at the time! Since I was born and raised in America, many times my work translates to an American persuasion. However, the way the world is shrinking, I expect the rest of the planet may also relate to the message that's in much of my work. One thing for sure, it's a crazy mixed up world we live in - I think I'm, going to need a lot more paint."
