Pim Trooster Born: 1954 in Almelo, Holland visual artist; initiator of the Safe Foundation; curator; was till 2011 scout for Sandberg Institute (master of the Gerrit Rietveldacademy in Amsterdam) and scouts still for VIVAfestival (Vital International Video Art from Madrid); theater director; artistic leader of the KiK Foundation (Kunst in Kolderveen, AiR, Artist in Residence-organisation in Nijeveen); commissioner at Fonds BKVB (Amsterdam) Studio in P.ART of your life, Zwolle Netherlands From the 17th of may 2009, Trooster' Safe Foundation started P.ART of your life, a new artspace in Zwolle. 2007 - 51 colourboxproject 51 (2006) are four series of 51 colourboxes (oil pastels in the original boxes) that he melts in an oven. First he makes a composition then he lets the oven finish the work. Sometimes the result is an improvement and sometimes it is a destruction of the composition. Always it is a matter of letting loose and of accepting the gifts of the heat of the oven. The results he is going to show in series hanging from the wall. He invites all kinds of people to make a composition in one of the boxes. In this way all kinds of people can participate in his project. Abroad he had galleryshows and he participated in some artfairs in Germany(Nordhorn), France (Parijs en Quimper), Spain (Barcelona) and Engeland (Londen), USA (Los Angeles, www.raidprojects.com/boxes.html and New York). From 1995 till 2009 he had, in Dalfsen Holland, his own gallery/art space called safe.
