About The Artwork
Floramorphosis #1 is the first painting of a new series. Although in my paintings I mainly deal with the abstract landscape, now and then I also paint paintings with abstract forms. With my series "Floramorphosis" with abstract, organic forms I explore the interplay of color and composition. The often organic forms are inspired by nature and are reminiscent of flower petals, foliage, stones and other natural forms. With this series I want to express my admiration for nature, its manifestations and colors. The paintings are intended to stand as symbols of the beauty and abundance of nature and life itself.

I am an abstract painter from Germany. I paint and draw in mixed media on canvas, paper and other surfaces. My paintings are an emerging process, usually beginning with lots of colour, exploring concepts of layering, transformation and ethereal qualities, towards a state of calm, lightness. The world out there is often noisy and restless and life is not always a happy place. We have a lot in our minds. There is this longing for rest, relaxation and harmony, at least in our homes.
