Fleurs en folie #16 Painting

Florals in various styles have long been the creative subject matter of numerous artists---both past and present. Being particularly interested in the works of the Impressionists and soon after the Fauvists (ex. Matisse, etc...), and then more contemporary artists in their depictions of the genre, I thought I would myself start a series of florals. This I started in 2019, and which I called simply ''Fleurs en folie''----whimsical, boldly coloured florals in a vase. My aim is not at all botanically correct representations of flowers, but rather fanciful creative impressions pleasing to the viewer. This Artwork is 9x12 inches (22.9x30.5 cm) , and is done on gesso-primed Fabriano Watercolour Paper. For a more attractive presentation, it also comes with its Mat and Backboard (12x16 inches----30.5x40.6 cm) ---therefore all Ready to be Framed by the Buyer. A colourful acrylic painted floral display suitable to hang anywhere, either by itself or with other artworks.
