About The Artwork
This is a scene from my family home when I was younger. The barn is no longer. My parents grew flowers, which they sold everyday to the public. It was something my father wanted to do when he retired. They both loved gardening, which was important as it was hard work. People loved the flowers they grew and there was a line waiting for them when they brought the flowers up from the field. Golden flowers from golden days when all the world was young. What do you remember? Hope this painting recalls good memories for those who look at it. No need for a frame, sides are painted. Wired and ready to hang.

I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, USA and after living many other places am once again living in Raleigh, NC. I love painting landscapes using either a brush or palette knife with oil. I love the texture a palette knife brings but what ever tool I use I paint more impressionistic. I only use my own photographs for my work to inspire me or to get me going. I hope my art makes one see their own surroundings with new eyes, and want to look at my paintings as a window to a place they may want to be or visit.
