About The Artwork

[first lines] Fallon: From two dots, you get a straight line. Simple and direct. It’s like throwing a punch. When I think the time is right, I use the most efficient way to solve a problem. Not everyone will agree with me, but that’s me. I’m Fallon Zhu, as in Jimmy Fallon and Fallon Fox… A 145-pound kick-ass [in English] poleeeeceman. Getaway Driver: [After being a part of a bank robbery and a high speed chase. The getaway van approaches a red light and a deserted intersection] To hell with it! [Blows through red light] [Commander Huang is undercover, in a parked utility van, when a traffic cop approaches his window] Traffic Cop: May I have your name, sir? Huang: Shing Huang. Traffic Cop: Mr. Huang, your date of birth is… Huang: March 27th, 2000. [Huang is obviously not 20 years old] Traffic Cop: Sir, you do look mature for your age. ID number, please. Huang: What do you want? Traffic Cop: I am a Hong Kong Traffic Warden, Obstacle Huange, UI71337. You have violated the parking regulations and will be fined 320 dollars. You can settle it through online banking, pay by cash, or you can remit the money by check. Your driver’s license, please. Huang: [Pulls out his police badge] I can sue you for obstructing a police officer engaged in duty. Traffic Cop: [Looks at badge and smirks] May you perish in the line of duty. [Walks away] [Huang is both stunned and angered] [both Fallon and Huang are riding their bikes down an empty street] Huang: [out of breath] Why do we always go biking during the holidays? Can’t we go to the spa for a change? Fallon: Hey, I heard the South Asian gang is rousing trouble again. Reinstate me quickly. I’m really worried that our men will be in danger. Huang: Fallon, think about this. If a hero has to destroy half the planet to save the earth every time, has peace ever been restored? Fallon: What are you trying to say? Be specific. Huang: Since you transferred, our colleagues have livened up, I get into less trouble, and everybody can leave on time and enjoy dinner at home. The earth has to keep spinning. Look at the beautiful trees. Let’s slow down and enjoy the view, okay? There’s no need to go so fast. It’s not Tour de France. It’s important to go with the flow, seek comfort, and enjoy life. No, I’m going to throw up. [stops bike and throws up in roadside bushes, Fallon looks back, but continues on] Fallon: [to himself] “Seek comfort and enjoy life”? Bullshit! Who will plant the trees then? If no one is constructing, who will build the roads? I’m not going to back down! Go! Go! Go! [last lines] Fallon: Now, I see that apart from straight lines, there are shapes like curves, circles, and squares in this world. As in our everyday lives, we shouldn’t use just one way to solve every problem. As long as we know how to forgive and respect others, being fat or thin doesn’t make any difference. It’s like water. Whatever shape you put it in, whatever shape of the water will be. Did the 250-pound Fallon Zhu invent this metaphor? Does it matter? from ‘Enter the Fat Dragon’ (2020) Starring Wang Jing (Tricky Brains), Niki Chow (Love Battlefield), Min-Hun Fung (CJ7), Jessica Jann (Easy A), Louis Cheung (Ip Man 3), Naoto Takenaka (Samurai Marathon), Kang Yu (Iceman), Joey Tee (Hotel Royal), Donnie Yen (Big Brother), Tetsu Watanabe (Princess Mononoke), and Teresa Mo (Hard Boiled). Written by Wong Jing (God of Gamblers), Kool-Nam Lui (The Last Tycoon), and Kin-Hung Chan (Once Upon a Time in Hong Kong). Directed by Kenji Tanigaki (Snake Eyes) and Aman Chang (Cop Shop Babes). I’m (I am?) a self-taught artist, originally from the north suburbs of Chicago (also known as John Hughes' America). Born in 1984, I started painting in 2017 and began to take it somewhat seriously in 2019. I currently reside in rural Montana and live a secluded life with my three dogs - Pebbles (a.k.a. Jaws, Brandy, Fang), Bam Bam (a.k.a. Scrat, Dinki-Di, Trash Panda, Dug), and Mystique (a.k.a. Lady), and five cats - Burglekutt (a.k.a. Ghostmouse Makah), Vohnkar! (a.k.a. Storm Shadow, Grogu), Falkor (a.k.a. Moro, The Mummy's Kryptonite, Wendigo, BFC), Nibbler (a.k.a. Cobblepot), and Meegosh (a.k.a. Lenny). Part of the preface to the 'Complete Works of Emily Dickinson helps sum me up as a person and an artist: "The verses of Emily Dickinson belong emphatically to what Emerson long since called ‘the Poetry of the Portfolio,’ something produced absolutely without the thought of publication, and solely by way of expression of the writer's own mind. Such verse must inevitably forfeit whatever advantage lies in the discipline of public criticism and the enforced conformity to accepted ways. On the other hand, it may often gain something through the habit of freedom and unconventional utterance of daring thoughts. In the case of the present author, there was no choice in the matter; she must write thus, or not at all. A recluse by temperament and habit, literally spending years without settling her foot beyond the doorstep, and many more years during which her walks were strictly limited to her father's grounds, she habitually concealed her mind, like her person, from all but a few friends; and it was with great difficulty that she was persuaded to print during her lifetime, three or four poems. Yet she wrote verses in great abundance; and though brought curiosity indifferent to all conventional rules, had yet a rigorous literary standard of her own, and often altered a word many times to suit an ear which had its own tenacious fastidiousness." -Thomas Wentworth Higginson "Not bad... you say this is your first lesson?" "Yes, but my father was an *art collector*, so…"
