About The Artwork
Part of my daily practice is to do a series of ink gestures in a meditative state. This particular one was done , not as an exercise but as a large expression. It was created in one sweep using a large brush with India ink. It is on Japanese handmade paper, mounted onto a birch panel. The frame is red oak with a shadow recess. It is signed with my personal chop.

Being an artist was a given in my family, one in which my mother and grandfather were both committed artists. I spent every summer of my youth on the shores of Bois Blanc Island, a pristine jewel that would eventually inform and inspire my work. Currently I am focusing on wooden assemblages which are constructed of various woods and found objects. They are in preparation for three upcoming invitational shows.
