Draw your boundaries before arriving to your limits Painting

Synopsis The history of these paintings began in Pontevedra, Spain, in a place where I usually do yoga retreats every year. A farm at the top of the mountain where we arrive through narrow village streets and dirt paths, which lead to a breathtaking view over the bay with the wind cutting the cliff in the background, a sound that accompanies us along the paths that descend to the bottom, to a small beach, almost private of the turquoise blue sea, but none of this would be special if, when looking to the left side of the small mountain in the beach,, there were there waiting for us a series of guardians designed by nature in the stone with incredible faces. Some people cannot see them, but most people see them clearly. Every time I go there and developed a fascination with that place which is guarded by stones in the shape of the old Indians faces everywhere and which I noticed more and more. There we also found stone circles and the last time I sat down in the middle of one of these circles drawing in my sketchbook and, those studies that would become the series for this year, 2023, began to take shape, talking about limits to ourselves and others, within a space of shelter that is always a retreat, but above all surrounded by those marks of Acupuncture from the earth left by our ancestors in a wisdom that would come to pass through all of us. I won't go on any longer, just here's a universal introduction to all the paintings in this series this year.
