About The Artwork
Deer Lake Park in Burnaby is a favourite place for me, especially in spring to early summer. Everything is so lush. Near the streams are mostly water-based plants and black cottonwood trees. However, the occasional Douglas Fir tree stands proudly in the midst of the green chaos of other plants. The birds don't seem to mind either. My inspiration for the sky comes from the master of clouds, the great John Constable, and 18-19th century British painter.
