This is a painting of a swimming pool in the Cotswolds, England.Part of a series of swimming pools and quarry pool paintings.This particular painting was inspired by the work of George Shaw , and Casper David Friedrich and influenced by the film and book The Swimmer by John Cheever 1964.I am sometimes trying to convey a film like quality in my paintings, creating an atmospheric vision.The painting is oil paint on quality heavy weight paper and is framed under glass with a plain white wood frame.
