This vibrant still life features a tall narrow cylindrical delft vase with a blue and white pattern, on an ultramarine blue and white striped tablecloth. The vase contains sprays of wildflowers with white lilies, white speckled orange reeds, tightly packed clustered blossoms in deep blue with softer pale blue centers, bright orange spiky blooms and leaves of all shapes and sizes. The wall behind the vase is alive with a riot of oranges, reds and pinks painted with loud expressive strokes.
